For those who cannot conveniently make it to Boston on a regular
basis for a dose of 'juice', help is available; the Arden Trolley
Museum is now open for the season (weekends until July 4, daily
thereafter). Located in Arden (near Washington,PA) it is the only
broad gauge electric railway museum in the country. The historic
collection of over two dozen trolleys, sweepers, etc. concentrates
on Pennsylvania broad gauge equipment not found elsewhere.

Trackwork is proceeding on the Arden extension, and we expect to
have the fairgrounds siding completed in time for the county fair.
At the moment there are three cars in the shop undergoing active
restoration; a Brill Master Unit, a Brilliner, and a Pittsburgh
double-ended low floor car. The Master Unit (Phila. and West Chester
Traction Co. 78) should be restored to its original livery and
condition by the end of the summer.

Bring the family and a picnic lunch -- Spend the day, ride
as often as you like, and wander through the exhibit area, car
barn and restoration shop. Admission is reasonable and family
rates are available. Volunteers and memberships are always welcome.

Arden is a half hour drive southwest of Pittsburgh. Take I-79
south to the Meadowlands exit (# 8) and follow the signs.

	     Enjoy!
