The Genuine IBM hard disk on my PS2/50 has, after about a year of increasing
flakiness, completely died to the point that the format utilities on the
reference disk won't touch it. Yes, I know about typing ctrl/A to get to
the real formatter.
I am interested in a replacement disk. The current disk a 3.5" 20MB hard disk
of no great speed, with somewhat funny connectors to fit in the PS/2. Does
anyone make disks at a reasonable price that fit? If I got some generic 3.5"
disk, could I unscrew the mounting hardware from the current disk and move it?
I'm not particularly interested in a larger disk, since the machine is
networked to my Unix box which has plenty of space.
TIA,
