[comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware] What to do with Model 60 and bad motherboard.

tek@ms.uky.edu (Thomas E. Kunselman) (01/23/91)

A friend looked at my Model 60 which is dead when turned onn. I don't
get a beep or numbers or anything. My friend said he can't find anything
wrong with the power supply, and that it is probably the motherboard.

What should I do with the damn thing now? Can I buy a new motherboard
for this system to replace the old one? I'd like to get a 386 or 486
motherboard if I can just slide it in to replace the old 286 motherboard.

Any information or help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Thom
