[comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware] High capacity tape drives for PS/2, SCSI and OS/2

lairdkb@mentor.cc.purdue.edu (Kyler Laird) (01/31/91)

The industrial version of the Maynard Maynstream 1300DAT, the Python, comes
without adapter and software. It will work with an Adaptec SCSI card. (I
have the number for the ISA not MCA card.) Sytos' Sytron backup software
supports this configuration. (Sytron is an OS/2 PM app.)

This is only heresay - I got it from manufacturers and dealers. I'm ordering
such a system soon.

Does anyone use or have experience with very high capacity (>150MB,
such as DAT) tape drives with a PS/2 with IBM SCSI port and OS/2? If
so, I would be grateful for any info!

Thanks in advance,
