Hi. I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I don't get any groups here that are called comp.sys.os2 or similar. I've just upgraded to OS/2 1.3 standard, and lost the dual boot feature. The "automatic installation" for some reason didn't work and in the end in was neccessary to pull everything out and install from scratch. Never did I receive the question "do you want (or do you have) dual boot?". Now I've got OS/2 working and reasonably fine tuned, but I need to be able to dual boot to DOS (and on my machine at least I haven't been successful in booting DOS from a floppy). Has anyone else had this problem/any advice on what I should do? Thanx in advance! Please reply via e-mail. -- Thor-Lee Legvold University of Bergen NORWAY

I haven't installed this myself (still haven't managed to extract 1.3 from IBM Canada). But I've read elsewhere that to preserve dual boot when you upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 you *must* do the 1.3 intall from DOS mode. That is, boot /dos, then do the install.
