After reading the posting on tape drives for the P70 data port, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to interface additional (external, obviously) storage to the external data port of the P70. I have heard that this port is really just the ESDI interface with a funny connector... could this possibly be the case? A friend of mine is looking for large storage capabilities (200+ MB), either using a standard hard disk or possibly a WORM/optical drive. I'm suggesting to him that he investigate putting a SCSI card in the machine and connecting whatever SCSI devices he might desire, but I'm a little leery of SCSI in the DOS world for the time being. Dealing with the ESDI interface would be safer, and probably a lot less expensive. Any suggestions people might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated; email or posting is fine. I'll be happy to summarize and follow up to anyone who is also looking for such information. Many thanks.
