[comp.sys.ibm.ps2.hardware] PS2 30 286 faulty?

cabr07@vaxa.strath.ac.uk (03/22/91)

Has anyone an IBM PS/2 Model 30 286?

If you have could you try the following for me please since
I think mine is faulty and IBM didn't find a fault when it
was sent for repair.

Using Debug:
DEBUG> o65,8e
     > i65
       Result?

The result should be 8e if the model 30 technical reference
manual is to be believed. Mine returns 2e or 3e if the port
is repeatedly read (i65), the state changing by itself.

I have tried it on a 30 8086 machine which works ok but I need
it checked on a 286 version.

Thanks,

Gordon Sinclair.
