I have some 4MB SIMMs that I am trying to sell, but I was hoping that somebody could help me out with a little info first. I know that they are useable on the PS/2 70/75 memory expansion cards, but can they also be used on the motherboard? Recent magazine articles would lead me to believe that they can be inserted in a P75 motherboard (the portable), but what about the desk models? Or the new 90/95? Perhaps it would help if I included a small diagram: | _| |_______________________/\_______________________| ^- 72-edge connector ^- notch ^-notch There are 6 SMT chips arranged vertically on this side, with 4 SMT chips laid out horizontally on the other side. Any information you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to e-mail responses if you feel posting is inappropriate. Basically, 4M SIMMs can be used on some expansion cards, along with the 55SX and 65SX motherboard, and the new L40SX laptop. Note that your SIMMs are probably 85ns. The P75 and Models 90/95 will work with 85ns or 80ns SIMMs, but they will NOT use them as fast as its normal 70ns memory. It can detect slower memory and use it, but you'll lose performance... and that's usually why someone gets a P75 or 90/95. (Also... the P75 and 90/95 must add memory in pairs.
