(Please reply via email to gt1096b@prism.gatech.edu.) I recently ordered a hard-drive from a mail order outfit and have been installing it into my computer. I seem to have successfully gotten power to the hard drive, and I've connected it to the interface board, yet I cannot get *any* software to acknowledge its existence. I have the following setup: IBM PS/2 Model 30/286 (512k, one 3.5" 1.44meg floppy). Generic IDE interface board for AT bus. Quantum IDE 52 meg hard drive. DiskManager v4.2. As I have tried virtually every piece of software having to do with hard drive formatting, and the installation appears to be correct, I must admit my total frustration. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. --Mark Curry (Please reply via email to gt1096b@prism.gatech.edu.)
