This is a follow up to a post I made a few weeks back regarding my dead 720K internal floppy drive on my PS/2 model 30 After many nice responses (Thanks!), a helpful technician at IBM, and some digging around, here's what I found: *My disk drive is not just dirty--it is either misaligned or otherwise defunct. (unfortunately). *You can't replace the 720K drives with the 1.44--the hardware driver won't support it. (unfortunately). *It doesn't seem likely that the "standard" Teac/Toshiba/etc. 3.5" drive will fit either, due to the PS/2's unique front panel (and perhaps the hardware controller). (unfortunately). *Thanks to the help on the net, I've removed the current dead drive and am actively looking for a reasonably priced replacement. Thanks again for all your help and advice.
