[comp.os.os2.programmer] OS/2 1.2 and ESDI. Which work?

Well, I think I already said most of it.
I have an AT clone, running (successfully) IBM OS/2 1.2 SE.
I would like to run an ESDI drive on this, or a future machine,
which probably won't be a PS/2. Does the disk device driver
support any ESDI controllers? Or are there ESDI controllers that
look enough like standard AT controllers that it works anyway?

I have successfully run 1.1, 1.2 and now 1.3 on a HP Vectra RS/20 with a
105M ESDI drive. There have been no problems. My understanding is that
only SCSI drives have given people problems in the past and I believe that
things have improved for these drives as well. I don't think that going
to ESDI will present any problems to you.
