Is it just my configuration, or is the current OS/2 2.0 pre-release (version 6.123) an incredible memory hog? I'm running with 6meg of ram and have a 3.5meg swapper.dat right after I boot, which grows to about 7meg witin a few hours. running the same programs on the same macine under 1.2, I started with 640k and would typically reach about 3meg after a few hours. Presumably, this is just a matter of 2.0 not being properly tuned yet, but I'd be thrilled to hear that no one else is having this problem, and I'm just doing something grossly wrong in my CONFIG.SYS.

I'm merely speculating, but I would think that there is a lot of debugging code in the current release. I would hope that the excess code would be removed by the time the final version is released to the public. Hope this helps, -D. Robert Spexet II, P.O.
