Could anyone suggest a reference for food composition tables in Scandinavia or Northwest Europe? I need something like the UN or US Agri Dept publishes but more specific to the area I'm investigating. Also, while I'm at it, is there any way to estimate protein content of an extinct animal? There are food comp tables out there for those countries but they may not be easily available. The best bet would be to call the food and nutrition section at USDA. (I've lost the number however). My first guess for the other problem would be to look at the protein content of currently living species of the same type and size. Good luck. wdh
