We are users of the Berkeley CAD Tool Set (Magic, ESIM, etc.) While these tools are adequate for designing and laying out digital circuits, we find the tools somewhat lacking when one attempts analog integrated circuit design. While Magic suffices as a layout tool, we know of no tool compatible with Magic which permits schematic verification. I was wondering if anyone knows about software which could make the following possible. A schematic of an analog circuit (op amp, switched-capacitor filter, etc.) could be entered and then compared to the layout produced with Magic. If anyone is aware of such a package, please contact George Engel Washington University in Saint Louis VLSI Design Laboratory Saint Louis, MO gle@dadent.wustl.edu
