We are satisfied users of Magic on Sun workstations for designing CMOS IC's. But, we also need to lay out test devices, alignment patterns, etc. where explicit control of every mask layer is needed and for this we have been using Caesar running on a VAX with AED terminals. Since the VAX is being phased out we need a substitute. Does anyone have: 1) A technology file for Magic for doing this; DRC not required. 2) Caesar for Sun 3. 3) Other suggestions.
