We're running MAGIC on a Sparcstation under 4.0.3c with all patches applied (at least those I'm aware of). It works fine except that when invoked with the -d NULL option (no graphics display), it core-dumps. I get the following message: Magic - Version 4.11 - Last updated 10/18/89 at 12:12:56 You are on a Sun but not running suntools. Using technology "scmos". Magic has encountered a major internal inconsistency: Segmentation Violation Unfortunately, Magic can't recover from this error. Please wait while magic generates a core image of itself.... gcore: core.3027 dumped override protection 755 for /tools/cad/lib/displays? .... done Any hints? By the way, any news when the new MAGIC release will be out? Thanks. Isidore Bendrihem igb@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu igb@vlsi.columbia.edu
