Hi, Is anyone out there using Viewlogic CAE tools? I am a hardware design engineer at a company that designs and manufactures video processing systems for the television broadcast industry. A group of us have been investigating various CAE packages and Viewlogic appears to be a good fit, at least at first glance, for our needs. What we want to do now is talk with and, maybe, visit some people who have had experience with the Viewlogic tool suite. We want to get the inside story on how well the tools have performed for you. We have a mix of PCs and Sun Sparcstations (mostly PCs) in our design environment. We are looking to use the tools for schematic capture and board-level simulation. We have lots of experience on other tools in the area of gate-level simulation of ASICs, but we are just beginning to grapple with the idea of simulating boards. We envision using VHDL models, either written in house or purchased, to simulate portions of the system.
