[comp.lsi.cad] INTO CLASS PROJECTS

I am looking for some good projects for an introductory class
of VLSI Physical Design Automation. This class is being
offered this semester here at Western Michigan University.
The projects could be based on algorithm development or 
implementation.  A rough outline for the course contents
is as follows:
    
            Introduction to VLSI Design Automation
            Interconnection Analysis
            Logic Partitioning
            Placement
            Global Routing
            Channel Routing
            Compaction


If I find enough interest in the netland, I will post a summary
of the responses.
