The following CAD tools from MCNC are being placed in the public domain. Due to major cuts in state funding, the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina will no longer be supporting any of these tools. The source and man pages are available via anonymous ftp from: machine: mcnc.mcnc.org network address: 128.109.130.3 login: anonymous passwd: guest directory: pub/utilities1.1 conch - a connectivity checker expandmag - outputs all MAGIC sub-cell types used in a given hierarchical cell ext2cazm - shell script for converting MAGIC .ext files into a cazm/spice file genwave - CAzM Waveform Generator lab2select - filter program used as part of the substrate/well contact checker powernet(1) mage - A diffusion labeling filter program for use by the power bus and substrate/well contact checker powernet(1) and sop(1). peep - is an interactive program that allows the user to view the interconnection of transistors in a SIM file and easily trace forwards and backwards through the logic. It can also be used to report capacitance information and identify potential dynamic latch problems. powernet - a tool to look for high resistance distribution of power and correct connection of substrate/well contacts secs - reads a SIM file and performs a number of static electrical checks in an attempt to locate opens and shorts in a circuit. sim2cazm - converts SIM format files to cazm/spice format. squash - merges parallel and series device structures in SIM format files wellc - examines CIF cells to see that diffusion is within a certain distance from substrate or well contacts.
