[comp.protocols.iso.x400.gateway] Sunlink MHS gateway

Does anyone know the details about how the Sunlink MHS x.400<>SMTP
gateway works. How does it handle attachments and binary data.

For that matter how do other implementations handle this? Is there a
standard emerging? I've seen rfc1154 which looks very preliminary.

Currently, it's a text only gateway based on RFC 987. Any message with
a body part that isn't IA5Text (or forwarded-message) will be
non-delivered.
