[comp.protocols.iso.x400.gateway] Problems with X.400 encoded O/R Names

mac@dit.upm.es (Manuel Alvarez-Campana Fernandez-Corredor) (02/27/91)

We developed an RFC-987 gateway some time ago and we decided
to support O/R Name representations only when going from
RFC-822 to X.400 (we don't generate such addresses).

The only problem I found was with ADMD=" ". More specifically,

mail "/C=es/ADMD= /PRMD=iris/O=upm/OU=dit/S=mac/"@gtwy

doesn't work. The mail program says:

C=es/ADMD=: No such file or directory

and only /PRMD=iris/O=upm/OU=dit/S=mac/@gtwy reaches the gateway.

Comments are welcome.

Manuel
