the BBS fanatics might want to know about this contest.

So here it is...

                                 Lexington, Ky

                     (606) 271-0558 - 1200/2400 Baud - 8N1

ADVENTURELAND, the largest public domain Adventure base in America, is
looking for a few good adventures. And we are offering a prize for the best!
From September 1, 1988 to October 30, 1988 we're offering a prize for the
best adventure uploaded! What sort of a prize? How about the Adventure of
your choice? Want a copy of Ultima IV? How about KingsQuest III? You might
choose a paid-up license for the Adventure Game Toolkit. Any adventure
game you'd like (up to $70.00 in value) can be yours IF the adventure YOU
upload is chosen as the best! Interested? Well, here're the rules:

1. The contest is open to residents of North America (US, Canada, Mexico).

2. Elegible adventures are Public Domain MSDOS files NOT posted on the
Adventureland BBS as of September 1, 1988.

3. Elegible adventures must be either stand-alone files (.EXE, .COM, or
.BAS files) or data files executable by a Public Domain or Shareware
adventure system. (i.e. EAMON, GAGS, AGT).

4. Entries must be submitted via electronic upload to Adventureland BBS in
Lexington, Ky at the above phone number. The BBS supports both 1200 and
2400 Baud access. In addition, 300 Baud access to the BBS is available
   beween Midnight and 6AM.

5. In the case of duplicate uploads, the file listed earliest in the sysop's
log is the only eligible entrant. Uploads of existing postings under a
   different name are NOT acceptable.

6. The winner will be chosen by play testing to be conducted in the month of
November 1988. The winner will be announced by means of a bulletin posted
on Adventureland no later than December 1st, 1988. The winner will also
be notified by telephone. Choice of the judges is final.

INTERESTED? Well, call Adventureland today, and download the files listing
in the MSDOS and Dungeon areas. This will let you know what we have. Then,
look high and low. Find those adventures we DON'T have, and start uploading!
The first uploader for each adventure is the official entrant in the
contest. SOMEONE is going to win the adventure of their choice. It could be
you! Call us today at (606) 271-0558, and get your membership to America's
Adventure headquarters... ADVENTURELAND! (Full access on your FIRST CALL!!!)
