Thanks to everyone for their reply. I find that there are a couple versions out there which are not maintained by the same people. If we wish upon a star, perhaps they're using RCS and we can merge the two versions. ;-) Here is what I got: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- From: "Robert Forsman" <thoth@reef.cis.ufl.edu> The only 5.4 I had heard of was derived from 5.2 and lacked many features I had gotten used to in 5.3. Here at ufl we've been hacking on 5.3 and I'm thinking of releasing it as 5.3ufl. Before I do this I'd like to fix the "Orders" bug. If you wan't our source I'd be happy to send it to you. I'd love to see if anyone had trouble compiling on another platform (only Suns and HPs here). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- From: Edmund Stephen-Smith <Edmund.Stephen-Smith@comp.vuw.ac.nz> From: Andrew Bros <bros@capstan.convex.com> From: Alex Nicolaou <anicolao@watcgl.waterloo.edu> [summarized] Stan Shebs now works at Apple (shebs@apple.com) - but is no longer working on xconq. I found xconq 5.4 at paul.rutgers.edu (128.6.5.60), in /pub/xconq/xconq5.4.1-19-91.tar.Z -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- From: Alan Clegg <abc@rock.concert.net> Last time I talked to him, he was looking for someone to keep up with the sources since he did not have enough time. I don't know about the availability of 5.4.

There was an article posted regarding the different flavors of xconq and who would support them (it). I will volunteer to be the official keeper of the source. I will fix bugs when they appear and try to merge different ideas into 1 source. If no-one objects, we can consider this a done deal. I will need a copy of the 5.3 source from Rober Forsman (thoth@reef.cis.ufl.edu) and the latest 5.4 source from Stan Shebs (shebs@apple.com) . Jeff Young jsy@cray.com
