This is a request for information about importing blocks to Silicon Compiler systems.(SCSC,SST,etc.) Does anyone know of a translator from GDSii to CIF that is easy to use? Is there a program for extracting layer nos. and property values from these? Any information on interfacing CALMA GDSii to other GDSii files? Well, if we are going to discuss silicon compilers perhaps we should define what one is. A system that produces layout from a behavioral description? A system that produces layout from a structural description? Do they differ from complicated module generators? --Bob Mayo
