ELLA Now Available in North America and Other Countries

The high-level VLSI design toolset ELLA is now available in North America from
ECAD Inc. of Santa Clara. The ELLA System is based around the ELLA language -
a modern, sparse, easy to use HDDL. The language is supported by a fast
mixed-level simulator and set of design management tools.

ELLA can be used at all levels of abstraction from early behavioral
specification to detailed logic-level implementation with particular emphasis
on *design* i.e. helping the engineer transform behavior to structure.
Additionally, ELLA is not just a simulation language but is an excellent
front-end to hardware synthesis projects and is also amenable to formal
mathematical verification.

ELLA originates from the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment in England and
has been commercially developed and marketed in Europe for the last two years
by Praxis Systems of Bath, England. ELLA is in use in all the UK's major
electronics companies involved in complex VLSI design and is also installed in
47 Universities for teaching and research.

ECAD have exclusive U.S. rights to ELLA and are already marketing *and*
supporting ELLA from Santa Clara. ECAD also have rights to market ELLA in the
Far East and other countries. ELLA is available now in the U.S. on VAX (VMS,
Ultrix and BSD 4.2), Sun and Apollo platforms. Academic licenses are
available.

I'm over here in California from Praxis working with ECAD for a couple of
years. For more info reply to my Praxis usenet address below or write or call
