[comp.lsi] SPICE runs out of machine space?

Does anybody know when the SPICE will run of the memory
space? I was trying to run a simulation of a CMOS
multiplier, but the system was not able to do that
for me say that MEMORY REQUIREMENT EXCEEDS MACHINE
CAPACITY. (The SPICE is on VAX 8800 here)  Are there
any limits on the total number of nodes which one can
use for the system to be simulated?
