I am a grad student at UMR and I have been using magic for sometime now. I intend to use magic for designing a PC bus startup (similar to the VME bus startup MDF) and I have run into a number of problems. 1. Magic supports nmos, scmos and stdcmos while a number of support tools support nmos, cmos and cmos-pw. What are the differences between stdcmos, cmos and cmos-pw ? The cif layer names for both stdcmos and cmos-pw seem to be the same. 2. The technology file for stdcmos (the version we have) seem to lack resistance definitions in the extract section. Has anybody got a fix for that ? 3. The .sim file produced by ext2sim is not being understood by sim2spice. The header seem to miss "format" column. The sim file produced by mextra from the cif file of the same design seem to be ok and I am able to convert it to spice deck without a problem. I would very much appreciate any help in this regard.
