[comp.lsi] desperately seeking polygon help

   ...i'm looking for some software routines (preferbly in C) which
      help manipulate polygons.  specifically, i need to "merge" and
      "split" polygons.

      ideally, for the "merge" routine, the input variable would be
      a list of polygons and the output variable would be a single
      polygon.  the "splitting" is the vice-versa and would have a
      single polygon as input and multiple polygons as output.
