[comp.lsi] MAGIC ver 6.3 ---Is FET resistance set to zero?

Subject: Problems with new MAGIC command EXTRESIS for accurate resistance
	 extraction.

(1)I run MAGIC ver 6.3 and it runs. But when I do command
"extract all",and later ext2sim , the .sim file has no R lines although
  extractor "do" options include resistance.

  (2) I try to
improve resistance extraction with "extresis" command after
I have .sim file [as described in man pages of ver6.3], extresist command
gives warning "FET RESISTANCE IGNORED OR SET TO 0 IN TECHNOLOGY FILE" and
it gives no output.(i.e. .res.ext file has no lines in it.)

[ I have to give additional command :select then it extracts
    all resistances to 0.000000 etc.]

   (3) I wish to run resistance extractor EXTRESIS with MAGIC -d NULL
option because accurate resistance extraction is part of my software.
If I give :SELECT command in source file for MAGIC and then EXTRESIS, I
think that it will work. Is there an error in this approach?(Note my
   design is non-hierarchical)

Thanks a lot

I had a similar problem using ext2sim. The parameter file, scmos2um.prm
has "resistance" mis-spelled as "resitance". Try fixing it and see what
happens.
