[comp.lsi] magic well contact problem

Is an nwell contact connected to pdiff if it is abutted against it?

ppppccccwwwwpppp
ppppccccwwwwpppp

where p is pdiff
      c is pdiff contact to m1
      w is nwell contact

Are the p's on the left shorted to the p's on the right?  Magic says no,
but I constructed a chip and they seem to be.
