I have a few questions relative to the NS32532. Maybe someone can answer ... 1) MMU: Is the MMU on the 32532 compatible with the NS32082? What is the TLB replacement strategy? And replacement cost (cycles) ? 2) Caches: Are the bus protocols the same as for the NS32332? Is there a burst mode to fill the caches? 3) Publications: Any publications? I know the article in Electronics, April 2nd 1987, page 97 Thanks for any answers! I'm only in software, but it looks like the hw guys don't read the news, so I'll try my best. >1) MMU: > Is the MMU on the 32532 compatible with the NS32082? No, it's compatible with the NS32382. > What is the TLB replacement strategy? The 32332 has no cache; the bus protocols are the same, but some illegal accesses may be treated differently. > Is there a burst mode to fill the caches? Yes. >3) Publications: > Any publications? I know the article in > Electronics, April 2nd 1987, page 97 There's a little brochure titled 'NS32532-20/NS32532-25/NS32532-30 Highly Integrated 32-Bit Microprocessor' that should be available at your local NS bureau. >Thanks for any answers!
