I'm looking at doing some work on our virtual memory system (e.g., replacing it). Being relatively new to the Unix world, I'm not up on the folklore on what is good to do and what is not. In particular, I'd be interested to find out what the world thinks of the relative merits and demerits of demand paging as implemented in the various flavors of Unix, particularly BSD, System V, and Mach. A couple of paragraphs before I start reading code would be wonderful. Any help out there? -- Martin S. McKendry FileNet Corp {hplabs, trwrb}!felix!martin
