(Originally posted to comp.lang.pascal, but they're all going silly over the latest Borland release ... :-) In order to compare a Pascal tuned architecture to other machines around, I need to know what makes up the "average" pascal program. There are a few articles around which talk about STATIC characteristics. However, I really need DYNAMIC characteristics (i.e. XX % of all statements executed are integer assignments,....). Does anyone have pointers (direct or indirect) to such numbers? Has anyone done any sort of analysis like this? *ANY* help would be appreciated. (I find it hard to believe that nothing like this exists) Thanks in advance, Richard -- ------------------------------------------------------------ UUCP : {allegra, decvax, utzoo, clyde}!watmath!ccng!rjhellinga
