[comp.arch] TRON Architecture

charette@edsews.EDS.COM (Mark A. Charette) (02/19/88)

Does anyone out there have information on the Japanense TRON
project? Any references would be most helpful. I can
translate (or my wife can) Japanese if that would help in
getting original material.

Thanks in advance.

Since this may be of general interest.... Look in, I believe, last week's
Electronics Magazine (that would be the week of Feb. 15-19, or maybe the
previous week's issue) for an article about TRON and the address of an
organization whose sole purpose is to provide a uniform distribution of
info. There is a steep fee.

Well, the IEEE Micro had a special on TRON in volume 7, number 2, April 1987.
(Reference: ISSN 0272-1723 Page 4-65)

I wrote a small article about TRON for the German TOPix, but I don't
have that reference handy. It was in German, and came out in TOPix
(Hansa Verlag) somewhere last year. Most of what was in there can also
be found in the previously mentioned special in IEEE Micro.

If anyone's interested, I could post a small summary on TRON to this
group. Just ask...
