We are looking at various mini-super (as opposed to super-mini) machines to be a "compute server" on our network of Suns. We want a lot of number-crunching power and straightforward interfacing with workstation-based programs. The following machines may fit our requirements: Alliant Convex Multiflow Ardent Stellar Does anyone have comparisons of some or all of these, or perhaps some experiences or opinions? If so, I would appreciate hearing from you. Alternative suggestions are also welcome. I will summarize if there is sufficient interest. Thanks.
