Topics of the conference include all aspects of fault-tolerance
and dependability with respect to computing and automation systems
(hardware and software). A survey of the state of research, development,
and applications is intended covering
- specification, design, diversity, verification
- fault detection and diagnosis
- error processing (masking, reconfiguration, backward or forward
recovery)
- modelling and simulation
- experimental investigations
- systems under application
- safety aspects
- economics
e.g. in the areas of distributed, real-time, and transaction systems.
Experiences from manufacturing, production, transport or power generation
or distribution techniques are solicited.

- Conference languages are German and English
- Prospective contributors are invited to send up to 12 pages maximum
in 4 copies before 31st January 1989 to:

- Notifications of acceptance will be sent before 31st March 1989.
