[comp.arch] looking for a few good RISC VME boards

ryland@narnia.multiflow.com (Chris Ryland) (12/23/88)

If you know of any 6Ux160 or 9Ux400 VME boards sporting one of the
newest, hottest 20-25 MIP RISC chips either available now or shortly
(surely you vendors know what's going on), please let me know via mail
or phone. We're looking for a fast front-end processor with a small
amount of RAM (4-16 MB) and enough cache to be effective at more than
trivial benchmarks. It'd also be nice if there were a VRTX
implementation for the CPU involved.

Thanks.

Mizar has a dual 6U VME board with the Cypress SPARC chip on it
and 1 Megabyte of fast static rams. It should scream right along....

A company out east called Ironics has a VME board with an Am29000,
caches, and DRAM on it. I can direct you to the proper authorities
if you want more information.
