We are looking for a model which will allow the user to determine bus latency in a VME multi-processor environment where processor loads on the bus are known. For example we will have a machine which will contain a large number (5) of processors co-located in a VME backplane. All of these processors will be communicating with themselves as well as other peripheral devices on the bus. One would hope that the model would be able to answer questions like "What is the average / worst case latency time one would take to transfer a word accross the bus?", and "What are the best and worst case bus utilization percentages ?". __________________________________________________ Please address all replys to melpar!mark __________________________________________________ Thanks in advance.
