The vote to create comp.realtime, an unmoderated group intended to broadly cover realtime system issues, passes: 170 to 8. This begins the "five day waiting period during which the net will have a chance to correct any errors in the voter list or the voting procedure" as described in Greg Wood's guidelines for newsgroup creation. After this time, if there are no serious objections that might invalidate the vote, the group will be created.
