The problem seems to be that one person's 'marketing hype' is another person's 'product technical information', so if we split off a daughter called 'comp.arch.hype' (or whatever), nobody will post to it. I vote we let it all roll in and filter it in the traditional manner with the 'n' key. The notion that technical claims require technical substantiation is not unique to this forum, and here also I'm on John's side: say what you like, but prove it.
