I too am very interested in the Rekursiv. I know that a number of university research groups in the UK have bought Rekursive Hades boards and are implementing some languages: Scheme and PS-Algol on them. I've heard mixed reviews about its performance, but no concrete benchmarks. I know that you can buy the board. I called the company and they sent me additional information on the board and chip set. I think that it costs about 20,000 pounds. Don't quote me on that I'm just trying to remember what they said on the phone. Anyway, it was too expensive for me to buy one personally. If anyone has additional information I would like to see it. I've read the Byte article, the Rekursiv book, and some of the product literature. I think its pretty interesting with good motivation and some good ideas, but some of the implementation techniques are very different from the current RISC orientation. -- Peter Ham PO Box 3430 (h)(415) 324-9645 MS Computer Science Student Stanford, CA ham@polya.stanford.edu Stanford University 94309 (o)(415) 723-2067
