So, what is with this demonstration that the Japanese did at Argonne? If you believe the popular press this is going to kill the American computer industry even faster than the Micros :-). Can anybody describe the architecture and the performance? According to one article I saw it was going to be benchmarked at Argonne for gene splicing experiments. Another article I saw claimed it was the result of the Fifth Generation effort (remember Prolog?) but they didn't solve the problem they were anticipating. Is it all hype? Malcolm
