I am working on a home project which is a simple parallel computer. It is based on the 68000 (because they are cheap and 32 bits) and am looking for some information on the motorola line of devices to support the 68000. Also, I read about 'pseudo static ram' in the latest Circuit Cellar (The HM658 128 1 meg chip, 128k x 8) and was wondering where I can get information like relative performance and price (and where I can get some). I am only a hobbyist and don't want to have to deal with refresh. Each processor is connected to its neighbour through a static ram link buffer with extra circuitry to handle read semaphores and protection lines to prevent simultaneous buffer access (and the shorts that result). Are there any other intrepid explorers who have dealved into something like this and can warn me of possible trouble spots?
