J. Gordon Letwin, I think.  He wrote big chunks of HDOS as well.

Actually, it was Tim Patterson.  He's still at Microsoft.  I didn't have
anything to do with the early DOS code.  I got involved in later releases
of DOS and OS/2.

I did write all of the initial release of HDOS; after I left Heath other
folks there - particularly Greg Chandler - made significant enhancements in
subsequent releases.
