No!

Probably.

The machine is V.Good. The chip is an extremely fast *true* RISC chip.
There is a floating point processor ready but not yet being distributed.
Ditto Unix.
It is extremely cheap (about 800 pounds sterling).

I want one!
Disclaimer: Do you honestly believe that a company would want my opinions?

I think it already is, given that it has FOUR operating systems
and BSD 4.3 Unix. Sure, X-Windows in 4MB is a bit much, but
X-Windows is only useful for SOME things. Anyway, I haven't
seen any Intel-based PCs (running some Unix variant) running
	X-windows effectively.

Yes, you can expand the R140 to 8 megs...and that will go up and
up too given third party support. Besides, it swaps memory in
and out like VAXes,OS/2 etc. I agree though...4MB is a bit
small for X-windows. Try and run mathematica on that...! :-)

They're intending on pushing the R140 in universities, since
they are ideally suited to that environment...easily network,
cheap, reliable, etc. Let's hope they make some breakthroughs.
Here in Canada, they are still bubbling around but haven't done
	anything major.

	Cheers!

	Kiwi.
