Which busses (including system busses, I/O busses, and whathaveyou) support hot patching? That is, which provide the ability to add or remove a card/peripheral/etc while the system is working, without causing a disastrous effect to the system or data integrity? I'm particularly interested in the current crop of popular system busses (eg, MCA, MCA-2, ISA, EISA, S-Bus, DEC's many busses, FutureBus, VME, etc) and I/O connections (SCSI, SCSI-2, IPI, DEC's many, TurboChannel, etc). If you email, I will summarize. Thanks.
