[comp.arch] Wanted: Symbolic Debugger for IBM System 370 Machine

matcheft@aludra.usc.edu (Marco Matchefts) (09/21/90)

I am looking for an interactive debugger which runs on an IBM 4381
machine. We have a Jovial compiler which we can modify to produce the
symbol table required by the debugger. Any suggestions?

You might try Compuware's dbugaid, We use it for CICS COBOL and ASSEMBLER.
I comes with its own postprocessor to link source with the symbols.
Kinda' like Turbo debugger on a 3270 :-) ...actually very usable.

I am assuming that Compuware has a version for VSE.
they may not. (It also might be expensive, I just use it,
I didnt buy it :-)

hope this is usefull,
,pat
