All the discussion about IOStone has prompted me to amass a library of Unix benchmarks. I've got the BYTE benchmarks, Dhrystone, Whetstone, the Livermore Loops, IOStone, bonnie, and the NCR suite. If you know of other benchmarks available via mailserver/ftp/whatever, let me know! Once I've amassed a fairly complete library, I'll put them on a central FTP site here at Kentucky. Replies can be directed to either this group or one of the addresses below. Jack Dongarra maintains a numerical computation benchmark library as part of netlib@ornl.gov. Information can be obtained by sending mail to netlib@ornl.gov with a subject of "send index". -- Douglas S.
