[comp.arch] Benchmark archives, was Re: IOStone

morgan@ms.uky.edu (Wes Morgan) (10/24/90)

All the discussion about IOStone has prompted me to amass a library of
Unix benchmarks. I've got the BYTE benchmarks, Dhrystone, Whetstone,
the Livermore Loops, IOStone, bonnie, and the NCR suite. If you know
of other benchmarks available via mailserver/ftp/whatever, let me know!
Once I've amassed a fairly complete library, I'll put them on a central
FTP site here at Kentucky.

Replies can be directed to either this group or one of the addresses
below.

Thanks,
Wes Morgan

Lint is the compiler's only means of dampening the programmer's ego.

Jack Dongarra maintains a numerical computation benchmark library as
part of netlib@ornl.gov. Information can be obtained by sending mail
to netlib@ornl.gov with a subject of "send index".
