CALL FOR PAPERS AND REFEREES
HICSS- 25
KAUAI, HAWAII - JANUARY 7-10, 1992
HIGH PERFORMANCE SPECIAL PURPOSE ARCHITECTURES
High Performance Special Purpose Architectures are an active area of
of research in computer architecture.
They offer promising possibilities for solving
computationally expensive applications without the need for
expensive super computers. They encompass specially designed
computer architectures as well
as specifically configured multiprocessors which
match a given problem's structure. Examples are architectures
for solving finite element computations, dsp multiprocessors,
AI processors, encryption architectures, etc.
This sub-track provides an opportunity for researchers to present
current results and exchange information at a personal level.
Papers are invited that may be practical, conceptual, tutorial or
descriptive in nature. Those papers selected for presentation will
appear in the Conference Proceedings, which are published by the
Computer Society of the IEEE. HICSS-25 is sponsored by the University of
Hawaii in cooperation with the ACM, the IEEE Computer Society, and the
Pacific Research Institute for Information Systems and Management
(PRIISM). Submissions are solicited on the following topics:
* Architecture and performance of application specific accelerators
* Specially configured multi-processors and interconnects
* Reconfiguable architectures
* Software for high performance accelerators
* Design methodologies
* Target applications
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING PAPERS
Manuscripts should be 22-25 typewritten, double-spaced pages in length.
Please do not send submissions that are significantly shorter or longer
than this. Papers must not have been previously presented or published,
nor currently submitted for journal publication. Each manuscript will
be subjected to a rigorous refereeing process. Manuscripts should have
a title page that includes the title of the paper, full name(s) of
author(s), affiliation(s), complete postal and electronic mail
address(es), telephone number(s), and a 300-word abstract of the paper.
DEADLINES
* A 300-word abstract is due by April 15, 1991.
* Feedback to author concerning abstract by April 30, 1991.
* Six copies of the manuscript are due by June 5, 1991.
* Notification of accepted papers by August 30, 1991.
* Accepted manuscripts, camera-ready, are due by October 1, 1991.
