Call for Papers
Special Issue of the
Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing
on
Scheduling and Load Balancing
==========================================================
Papers are solicited for a special issue of the The Journal of
Parallel and Distributed Computing (JPDC) to be published in December,
1992. This special issue will cover different aspects of program
partitioning, scheduling, and load balancing in parallel and
distributed systems. It will include, but is not limited to, the
following topics:
Program and system partitioning
Parallelism detection
Task granularity issues
Static scheduling/mapping
Load balancing
Task migration issues
System monitoring and measuring load indices
Authors should follow the JPDC manuscript format as described in
the Information for Authors at the end of each issue of JPDC. Five
copies of complete double-spaced manuscripts should be sent to one
of the guest editors by December 1, 1991. Authors will be notified
of the final decision by May 1, 1992. This special issue will
publish about eight (8) regular papers (approximately 35 double-spaced
manuscript pages) and four (4) short papers (about 15 double-spaced
manuscript pages).
